How much higher in the water will a 5.4m sit with the hull blocked off? Will the tubes still basically sit in the water at rest?

Been pondering this mod for a while...

I have seen a few SR54 unloaded with the hull blocked off that lean on one tube at standstill.

If you have a heavy engine, and maybe the fuel tank at the back, the tubes should touch the water though.

Hmmm.... Yamaha 90 two-stroke and 12 gallons of fuel against the transom. Only 335 lbs with full fuel. I still might have to try it this summer.

Thanks Matt - I like it. That little extra bit of freeboard looks nice.

Is that a 50 or a 60? (Either way, probably very similar to the 263 lbs of my two stroke)

Thanks

Next question, I assume with someone standing in the boat, it settles down perfectly, correct?

(Besides thinking about this for myself, I'm trying to help a guy out here in California that just picked one up. He's definitely going 4 stroke. Honda 90 was the cheapest, then 70 Yamaha, then 90 Yamaha. I told him to wait and get it in the water first but this will be something to think about for him)
