Avon Searider from Greece.

Hi there to all from Greece.
Very nice forum!Excelent, congratulations for your work.

I want your help please, about this boat, because after many years SR hunting,
found it here, and it's almost new.
The packet is 2010 year, with total hours use 235,and the engine is the new Suzuki df90a.
Also they are including 50-60 ltrs fuel plastic tank with fuel gauge, VHF radio, twin batteries, very good electr., nice trail.,extra steel prop, and full cover bug .
I tested in the water for few min.in a rough water ,but was not enough to
have a complete idea about full abilities and performance.
The only thing I noticed, was that it was very difference from all the Ribs I had until now.
I want to use this boat for cruising max ( 10-25nm),and for fishing including spear fishing.
So I want your opinion please, and especially some of you with experience ,
about how it's behave in rough and calm weather comparing with the Ribcraft, and XS,and what I have to take care in this boat.
Also what you believe that it's a reasonable price for this packet.

Thanks in advance.
Kostas.

Hi Kostas and welcome to RIBnet

You're SR looks like a really good find, well done, I think you will find it to be a very good choice for cruising the distances you have mentioned and is very well suited to rough water, so go enjoy

Cheers, Chris

Nice searider, looks great

The flooding hull will suit you for fishing and spear fishing as it is very stable.

The deep v hull makes it a great rib in the rough weather too.

Forgot to tell you, that the boat is equiped with smart plugs, and is very easy to have it flood or dry with this way.I tested dry,and the accel. and planning time was amazing.

You will love it flooding for your fishing etc. But blocking the hull makes it quicker to plane

What are you thinking about the combination with the new Suzi df90a.
Any experience?
Also any opinion for the engine height and shifting?

Thanks in advance.

Avon Searider from Greece.

Hi guys.

I'm in the final negotiations for the SR 5.40,which as I mentioned in this thread, is 2010 year, with total hours use 235,and the engine is the new Suzuki df90a.
Also it's including 50-60 ltrs fuel plastic tank with fuel gauge, VHF radio, twin batteries, very good electr., nice trail.,extra steel prop, and full cover bug .
So, I want your opinion about the asking price which is around of 13.400GBP,here in Greece.
Any recommendations would be grateful.

Thanks in advance.
