Avon searider 5.4

I have an Avon searider with a difference (I think), upon doing my research I found that my searider 5.4m 1987 has a spray deck due to being a special order by the MOD, what I mean by spray deck is a big flap of hypalon sealed to the front tubes that leads to a dash and windshield.
My questions are can this be removed or will it affect the strength of the front tubes (make them likely to burst or part from the bow) secondly is this a desirable rib in which case I may devalue it? (the rib has 2 front seats side by side not one jockey seat which I would prefer)

doubt the removing the spray deck would reduce the tube strength if your careful, I'm sure someone will be along soon who's done it on a SR4 any photos of the setup as it is now?

If you use the search function and type in "1978 avon searider restoration" and have a read through it, I did the same thing as you are planning.

Yeh I'll have a look at that restoration and I've tried to add a photo but I'm new to all this so it may not work

Alan I've searched it and seem the photos it looks 1000 times better it's just scary because there's no going back, how did u clean the tubes to get them so bright again, also I noticed u have a patch where the dash used to be I think u may be able to remove that because mine has one in the exact same place I think that May be there to stop the fibreglass damaging the tubes

I actually put the patch there because the wrap around dash had rubbed through the top layer of hypalon.

I used a green nylon scouring pad, some traffic film remover and tubs of elbow grease.

I sold it a while back but I do miss it.
