Ok......so after talking ot many different people im swaying towards a RIB. ive found some very nice cheap ones on boats & outboards! 2006 selva 510 with a selva 50hp 4 stroke on the back within my budget! & theres a 2004 avon adventure with a 50hp 2 stroke! Both look very clean RIB's and great price & definatly would work for me!

Reversing - Yes it's hard to start with but fairly easy to learn. Reversing a trailer round a corner is quite different from reversing one (mostly straight down a slipway, assuming you can turn it round by hand). The first time I tried reversing down a slipway I had to pull forward about a dozen times, the 4th time (which was the most recent) it was only three!
The second time I was out, someone came to launch as I was getting out. He stopped at right angles to the slip and reversed round in one movement - something for me to aspire to. 
Getting good at reversing is just practice, just like tying shoelaces, learning to drive or algebra!

Yeah agreed ! 
Im only 18 so I have only watched people reverse and have never tried. So a few weeks before I launched my boat for the first time, I went to a nearby industrial estate and just practiced reversing round corners and into parking bays.
I found this very helpful and it was good to practice without loads of people watching
Luckily my local slipway is so wide I can just drive down to the water and turn around, then just reverse straight.

Yeah i did my cbt & ive got a little yamaha xt125x. Ill attempt revesing soon! Its just where i launvh its packed with people crabbing in the summer who dont move for anything!!! On side of the slip is a wall & the other a big drop!! :S

I would hold out for anther good SR4 with a light 50hp on it?
I love charging around in my 6m Ribeye, yesterday we had 8 of us on it Hamble to Cowes & then to Bembridge & back to Hamble.
But 1 or 2 up just out for a blast the SR4 is just such a blast & if you want to you can still cram 5 or 6 of you in it!

Wouldnt mind an sr4 but i know this sounds picky but i dont like the console i think its too far forward plus this AB has bow, console & bench seat storage plus it looks much nicer

OK looks do account for some thing do you have links to what you are looking at?
My eldest daughter (14 years old) was horrified when I bought our SR saying it was distrusting & would not be seen on it let alone drive it!
After a bit of fettling & her being told by boys of the same age how cool a SR was I now do not get a look in & she tells every one it is her boat!

Really - dont buy the Adventure ( although I love mine) - if your used to thundercat you will hate it after about ten minutes.
For that sort of money a nice SR4 will come up.
There is very little that will give as much as an SR4 in practical terms - load it up , go quick and wave jump all in one boat ...

Storage & SR4 are not words that are used together very often - if at all !
A couple of big dry bags strapped the seat/ a frame should sort you though ( they can be a little 'damp'  )

thats what i thought youd say  Id prefer something thats got some storage cause i hate a messy boat!
