avon 620 v ring 600

I'm looking for my first rib and have short listed these 2 ribs as favorites I have 3 children 6, 8 & 11 and and want a fast safe boat with good seating ideal 2 twin jockeys and rear bench and console with bench seat in front.
Is the anything that i should consider between the 2 and am I better off buying new.

?

Both great RIBs but think of it like this. Avon - 100's of dealers for easy access to parts, advice etc. Ring - a little like owning a TVR, not many dealers and hence trouble securing the latter.

I'm going down to the IOW tomorrow so will be popping into Bembridge Outboard to hopefully get to have ago of a Ring if they have one to test. The sports car performance sounds good what engine would you go for on a 6M for good balanced alround fun and speed.
Thanks

600 ring

i think if i where setting this up i prefer yams,

90 yam 2 stroke keep fuel tank to back of rig. unless your going miles 12 to 15 gals will do

iam not sure what max hp is for this rig
if you are carring lots of weight go for 130 v4 yam
always good deals from bhg marine 08451188181

this will be quick enough for most

or try 650 ring and whop 150 hpdi on, and hang on tight

it all depends on how deep your pockets are

good luck tomorrow

I wouldn't get a front seat if i was you, i refer to them as Suicide seats. You can't control the impacyt on your spine when sitting on them and they can pitch you forward into the Hull head first

you can also do a lot worse than a 6.5 Scorpion with a 90 they are sometimes available for around 13k

Yep, but i think they are fun in certian conditions for a short period of time.

Also useful when dead calm for extra people carrying, say when out skiing or similar.

I'd prob. get one in a 6mtr plus boat with this type of console. IMHO of course.

Re seats it's your call but the worst cse I witnessed this year was when a passenger was catapulted into the deck on a Ribeye and had to have 13 stitches,

bench / leaning post at the back.

twin jockeys up front.

Mercury 150hp optimax

probably a 2003 model

Jono, I thought you were dead....

or that you'd bought a "speed boat" and had moved to the boatmad forum !

Actually, I was enjoying the peace and quiet
