Avon use www.Outhill.com but jim @ bembridge makes has is own, ed @ olmec makes some nice consoles and seats- www.olmectubing.co.uk, i am not a big humber fan, but they make a fabtastic jockey seat.

I've seen outhill and bembridge just tried olmectubing but they only have tubes on their site the bembridge seats and consoles looked good though.
Do most seats fix down with just velcro or with a clip of some type

I've just been down this route of jockey seats. I approached all the RIB manufacturers at the boat show and most were happy to sell me the seats (at a price though). From memory i can positivaly say the following people will sell them to you:

Tornado (glass'ed to deck, did say might be able to make a flange though) about 440
Ribcraft
Ribeye single = 500, twin = 585
Ribtec (which i bought, very nice seats) a bit more expensive than Ribeye seats but nicer.

Outhill, IMHO are overpriced poor quality products

Well hopefully I will be making the right decision and joining the ribsters by ordering a new avon 620 with a Mercury F115.
As it seems you all meet up and such fun I can't wait to join in.

Do many of you launch from Essex very often or do I have to wait till I'm in the Isle of Wight for the summer.

Stevecare,
Bern Hanreck and I are both Essex Boys. We are 12 months of the year ribsters. We sometimes launch from Burnham Yacht Harbour, a very good place for starting out. I also launch my Inflatable from two tree Island near Southend.

There is also the BIBOA East Coast Rivers Cruise, normally held in April, which is always great fun

Best of luck with the new Rib.

Essex Boys

Steve Care

Another Essex boy here, just down the road from you in fact! I also use my rib all year and you're welcome to join me whenever you wish. I usually launch at Bradwell on the Blackwater. Ring me on 07768 153 386 and we'll organise a blast.

A good analogy, Graeme. As an owner of an Avon and a TVR I concur fully with your comments. Steve, if you go for the Ring, I hope for your sake it's more watertight than a TVR!
