Avon 560D verses the rest

Hi

What are the opinions on the Avon 560D ( Dive version ) ? . Are these as
well built as the Seariders series ?. How would they compare against the likes of makes such as 5.5 meter Ospreys, Destroyers , Ocean Pros and XS’s ect for build quality and sea worthiness .

Thanks
Tim

Whats the difference between the 560 and the 560D? The 560s I've seen aren't anywhere near as well built as Seariders.

agree with that, i had a 560, it was that bad it should have been a catagory x,
Blinking awfull, it would slam at the sight of a wave,

there was a 560 dive version for sale recently, and the hull was the same as the normal 560, (or so the seller told me)

“D” is for Dive which as far as I know is a commercial series of the standard 560 . I had a look at the Avon web site but none the wiser . Interested to know what the difference is between both series and how it compares with the other brands mentioned .

Thanks
Tim

spoke to Avon, and the response was, "completely different", the searider was designed for Hairy Squaddies smacking it around and the 560 adventurer range was for sheltered inshore useage, hope that helps,

Well after my rage at the Cobra, i can say that the 560 we had was a cracking
rib we did two cross channel trips plus lots more stuff nothing fell off and it keep its looks.
if i was really looking to find the smallest fault, it was a touch stern heavy
as we had a yamaha 100 F/Stroke, i think it would be a better boat with an Etec
