Got the deck sealed, worked out how I'm going to do fuel tank access and fillers etc.
The tyres have gone down after it filled with water if that counts as progress?
I'm hopefully getting a lockup to stick it in, least I can spray and glass in the warm and dry....

Was surprised to see such a large flat planning pad(compared to most other seagoing designs). So You don't need to have a deep V all the way to get a smooth ride then, or does this design suffer from more "bottom slams" than those with a V all along to the transom?

Very nice finish by the way, looking good!

The 21 doesn't suffer too badly from slamming from what I can remember, it skips across the waves nicely when the power is on and is quite agile compared to the 75 that replaced it.
I'm not sure if Mart said the large planing pad was to aid beaching?

Apparently the flat pad was to allow the Atlantic to stand upright when beached, this is also mentioned on one of the old rnli videos on utube.

All in standard RNLI set up, but with Atlantic 75 modifications Inc turned up sponsons, battery housing and wiring.
