the artics I used to use when I was in the Fisheries used to have 2 on deck mounted tanks mounted betwen the twin 70's and the lifting frame so may have been along the same idea

Looks great.To trim it correctly, to it on the water you can use plenty of anchor chain or as you are in the same town i have plenty of lead diving weights i bought for this very purpose if you take care of them for sea trailing the boat you can move them forward and aft to get the best balance.a lot of us have done the pacific 22 as projects as they have been available. Hi Nos,I know one around here that has twin 60hp two stroke mariners and they were original they were not counter rotating just normal

I believe they were not. Most fleet operators tend to stick with one standard engine setup even with twins so that they maximise their flexibility to move engines from boat to boat as and when required

Reason I asked is someone on another forum has just had a replacement lower unit stuck onto his '90s Johnson 60 and it appears to be contrarotating. I'm wondering if he's got hold of an ex RNLI 70hp box as it's quite a small engine to be contrarotating.

The RNLI engines both spun right handed props. Alot easier for carrying spares and no chance of fitting one then going astern when you should be going forwards.

Im picking it up mid april i think im going to gut it and give it a full rebuild.
can you still get the air bottel at the back as its very out of date 12/1996

has any one got pics of there ones
