Artic 22 build Project

Artic 22 Build Project

Righto then here’s we go again! Hopefully this will not be to boring a thread,

After building an Atlantic 21 in summer of 2012 I wanted another,, I have searched for bloody ages,, bugged the death out of Razorbill ribs to sell me his hull, lol with no avail,

This Vessel was found hidden in a yard in deep Great Yarmouth,, been stored moved shunted around for some 4-5years, (disgracefull) Gramas,, a true gent/fellow Rib netter, haggled the deal after numerous phone calls. He also added lots of his own time assisting in doing so and finalising payment collection etc,, few beers and a day out in wales in the bag for you sir!

Right A frame to be removed stripped re coated, colour to suit silver/black unsure yet.

Main lifting structure, well build bloody thing remove and scrap..
Any one want this? B4 I do? FOC

Remove tubes.

Rip of deck console etc,

Discard original stainless tanks, these will be for sale once tested!

Turn Hull over, repair various dinks in hull and prep paint as required, Tornado red is my choice

Right way back up, flo coat all the internal structure of hull white, after sand blasting crap outa there.

Make up the lips around hull where the Ali tube rails are normally fitted, having a new set of tubes bonded on,

New set of millitary grey seamless tubes are made and awaiting fitting,

staying away from the military look, want it to be more of a leisure vessel

Being kitted out with a single dive console, 4 x single seat pods,

Will be fitting 2 x large Plastimo fuel cells under deck,, had two vessels now give me greif with stainless tanks just do not trust them no more, plus the weight of them is horrendous,
By fitting these up front it will leave me with a huge under floor storage locker, see pic from one of these vessels stripped of flooring,

Engine choice still in decision stages, was going large but been advised not to,,,

so if interested to start with,,,

Large frame going free if it is any good to any one
console and any other bits on it, for sale price negotiable, just pm me
pair stainless tanks to be pressure tested and sold if any good size unknown as of yet, think there 200ltr each as std,

self righting gear I will keep and have checked out as I did on my Atl 21

deck and hull over Xmas period,
seat pods and console Jan,
booked in tubes for feb,,
the noisy end still mulling over what to do, may just wack a 250 single on it,
lot less hassle but may not look favourable when it comes to selling her,

Me keep it,,
every thing has its price, even the wife,
but she costs more to run that a set of quad verado 300's

Exciting times ahead Ed!

I too will be watching this build thread with interest and I'm mighty glad I managed to get my A frame and bits/pieces to you before you got stuck into this project coz methinks you'll be busy for a few weeks now!

If you take time and add cash slowly you will be amazed at what you am achieve,
I've done. A few now and am constantly learning , main reason I wanted another of these style boats is because I done lots of wrong things on the last one, weight was wrong positioning and running of things could of been better

All in my plans now. Want this one to be sumat special,,
