Well done Ella.
"Wyatt, you're an oak."

I don't think that there will be many others attempting to dispel Myth Chiverth.

Anyway, does this mean that if she wants to be taken seriously on here, she'll need to go boating in last season's TK Maxx cutoffs and a bad haircut?

I was just thinking, if Ribeye REALLY wanted to boost the attendance at one of their Open Days, they could do worse than get the Hand of Twim to run it...

prbly have to issue tickets

Anyways...

I've owned or driven one , but have never actually heard anything bad being said by the owners I know. Infact only the opposite ....

I think they have a good 'look' for a leisure boat and the Yam engines seem to be very good. If they were that bad why are there so many about on the South coast ?

I'll get my coat now ........

I live in Cowes, so well placed for both the Ribex shows and Southampton Boat Show. Tested quite a few before making a final decision in 2009 to buy a 6.5m Ribeye.

Has been an excellent boat, with any minor niggles resolved immediately by the brilliant team at Ribeye.
The boat well in sorts of conditions, and manages to deal with the Solent Chop well.

I never understand why some people continually try to bash them on the Forum. They have a great product, backed up with brilliant service. What more could you want?

To be fair, no-one really tries to bash them per se and very few ex-owners run them down badly (not like Avon 560 owners )
I suspect most of the 'Ribeye bashing' people do is actually to see if they can catch Twim on a nice long line.

are ribeye any good

the answer is yes in my opinion but i will be accused of being biased as an ex employee and friend of the Chivers family .A well run family business with younger family members now becoming part of the business shows that they are here to stay rather than sell out or be some type of flybynight company. in short good company with a good product run by nice people

I've sat here and read all this about ribeyes. I've repaired more than a few. I have found that the quality is not consistent Where and when the boat was made has a big difference to the layup. Fitout. They may look the same but they ain't. What is a good boat? Good question. But there isn't an answer. Something that's good for one might be crap for someone else a boat is only good until you get in something better
