Sorry Tony, I misunderstood what you were saying.
You meant did the tops of the seats i.e. the soft cushy bits that you sit on slide back---YES, they do.
The seat base doesnt (shouldnt!) move.

Think I will take willk's advice and put them on the inside, hinges at the bottom....................and yes, they are "glovebox" type.
