Very jealous, cannot comment on the rest of Britain, but winter is back here in the NW of England brrr

On the plus side though... no man eating sharks or box jelly fish, sea snakes and any other nasties to contend with in British waters apart from the odd floating land mine, but that's mostly round Blackpool

I was there in October staying with my brother in law for the rugby - great weather then as well! My lovely wife is flying out next weekend for three weeks - hope it stays nice for her!

There is some bad weather on its way, will be here at the end of the week, but after that it should be all good for your wife! It looks like there will be 20knt + winds in the harbour today and tomorrow, so the Volvo ocean boats will be flying!

Also another heavily overcast day recently, all taken on Rotto (Rottnest Island)

Pics 1 & 2 are in "our private bay" with 'er indoors suitably rugged up in 2.

Pic 3 is from the pub wall in Thomson Bay. (The drinks are a frightening price !)

Flat seas and WA are not something that you would normally associate.

We get some beautiful days in the autumn when the wind goes round to the East and knocks the swell down, but in the spring and summer, it fairly howls from the South West pretty much every day.

We do get a bit of sun though....

Great stuff - she flies out on Friday My brother in law lives out by Bethalls Beach on the left coast, not a lot of boating out that side but it's not far from Auckland etc. I think she is taking her niece (8 years old) on a trip - I think she is thinking of going on a square rigger or something - any recommendations in the area?
