Thanks Cookee

I'll glass the false floor in and leave the void as a void.

Cheers

Nasher.

Ocean 6.5

Hey Nasher....

how are you? Long time no mail........read this with interest. Strangely, my Ocean has a different set up...there is a drain hole in the rear of the anchor locker /well which drains into the inner hull and then back (seemingly passing the fuel tank) to the drain plug in the well /sump so that I can remove the bung letting the water into the sump and then pump out with the bilge when on the trailer /lifted at the bow....

I was in two minds as to whether allowing water into the inner hull on purpose (albeit small amounts) is a good idea (have to remember to drain the inner hull periodically)...had been contemplating putting a bung in the anchor locker as a result...

Probably not much use to you and your deliberations, but odd that the set up is different.

Hope you're well mate.....may be dropping you a PM in the future to pick your brain re repowering if thats okay.

Dan

Hey Chewy,

All really good thanks, although could do with some better weather! Heading off to Porthmadog early tomorrow to collect the boat......it's been travelling up from Newport Pembs over last few days (with the EA) doing more water sampling. Glad it's not needed tomorrow as the weather looks pretty bad......

Off topic am off to Poole mid October (work permitting) to do my D class helm...can't wait.

Unfortunately it's the 18th to the 23rd.......shame, as i would have loved to have blagged a trip out with someone and would have been good to put names to faces!

Dan

Edit: The food is bloody marvelous...unfortunately am trying to lose weight before I get down there.....not very graceful when climbing off and on a capsized D class at the best of times! Last time down there I sat at breakfast eating muesli whilst the others tucked into a fry up....my mum always told me i was just big boned, and besides i'll be in a much better position come the next ice age!

Hey Dan, good to see it's all going according to plan

My inner hull is being prepared for a flexible fuel tank to go in at some stage.
In the mean time I've considered putting a bed down there as it's certainly big enough.

Give us a chance, I only get to work on the boat weekends.

Although the triangular shaped piece of Marine ply I'm going to use for the false floor is sat on the bench with the underside already coated in a layer of mat and flowcoat

I'll take some images over the weekend when I get to put it in.
