If it was as close as you were I'd speed - and argue later . As Malthouse says your being there could be a big differance between a good & bad outcome.

Its a judgement call/ assesment of if you being there in 60 secs will help. If its a mayday 8 miles away & you are another mile from the harbour entrance maybe a differant story.

Well I was told that Chi harbour patrol were in hot pursuit but gave up ! They tend to know most of the boats around and would realise something was up. We NEVER speed in the harbour do we !
