I think it had something to do with th fact the were close to hand!!!

I could not agree more Dave juts be cause you are a full time ambulance man (wording used intentionally ) don't mean your any good at it

Sorry could not resist.

As far as Runt and the rest of his family go, there is no one better in a RIB IMHO and in the eyes of anyone who has met them.
These guys are awsome.
They keep a calm head at all times, can handle a boat like no others I have ever seen, i have seen a few over the years.
I have had the pleasure of spending lots of time in boats with them.

Top blokes and a credit to the RNLI and the Irish.

You could say the same about the beach clown and the odd donkey. Why the defensive replies? I never cast dispersions on Ribrunts boathandling and neither would I. Is he an Accountant?

Ok there you go Me Me have deleted the previous post!

Was just trying to add weight to Runts post.
Trying to qualify his post, as in he does know his onions!

Anyway enough of this sillyness, as I said before i have 110% respect for the full timers, or part timers in your case!
I fully understand why you guys have feel the way you do about the "wanna-bees" but nice to stoke it up a bit sometimes.
Not looking for a fight either, I hate the sight of blood especially when its mine!

Regards

No. It's not something I'd do myself.

Are your radios any good? I've heard a few conflicting reports.

Well I am bound to say they are great!
Best ask those on here you will get a fair answer that way.
(wispers) don't ask Rouge though

Hand on heart we get far more compliments than complaints.

I'm RNLI crew, and until i joined the crew i'd rarely been out on a big boat,(only lifeboats too!) never on a small inflatable and so far i've managed. i'm now a fully trained RNLI/British Red Cross First Aider, I'm taking the Test for my VHF Licence and also RNLI/RYA Inshore Lifeboat Training Course down the solent next year. but i can already handle the D-Class quite well and Already i've decided to go out and get my own boat to do some more practicing

(shame my spellung hasnt emprooved dough!)

Oh. and i'm only 17, my Dad & My Grandad used to work on Trawlers... But only in port. Is that a nautical enough background. Well now you mention it my first job when i left school was working at a boatyard refitting RNLI All Weather Lifeboats....

Scott, gArfie has his own unique brand of humour. You'll get used to him! He's a good old stick really (although he'll hate me for saying so! ).

Yes he does.

He sent me a Fkkn text message today it read like this!

Police have found a badly decomposed corpse. It had terrible dress sense and a huge flabby arse......Can you call me to confirm you are OK!

He deserves every red blob he get's in my opinion.
