amphibious rib - sealegs, wow

Saw a 6m rib with a 115 yamah on the menai straits on sat, drove out of the gazelle pub car park, down the beach and in to the water over to a cruiser. How practical.

If you google "sealegs" it was one of these boats from NZ who have a dealer in London now. No doubt see more of these!

I've seen one of these around Salcombe in the summer too - no messing about mooring off the beach - it just drives straight up the beach.

There's one on the Scillies. Ideal over there with the lack of depth.

I'll have to pop over there and take a look at it, would come in handy for when we do bank surveys out in the Dee Estuary. Wonder if the system can be retro fitted to a P22.........

There's one in Lawrenny too. Saw it drive up the slipway a couple of weeks ago. Very convenient, but all the drivetrain & hydraulic gear must add loads to its weight.
