Am I being scammed

Guys- any experience out there??

I ordered a plotter from Marine Magestore. One week later they called me and said the factory was washed away in the Tsunami and couldn't deliver. They offered me a great price on the second option.

This was ten days ago.

Today I called to see where the order was and was given a Fedex tracking number. This was not the tracking code for my item. In fact Fedex have no record of the consignment.

I'm being to wonder if I'm about to get stuffed for over £300 from a bunch of fraudsters.

Please tell me I'm wrong! Help..

I've bought stuff off them with no probs, if you bought off them on line it should have been safe. Is this the website you used.

Hopefully not.

I ordered a few items and they were delivered on time. They might have messed up the tracking number etc. so it will arrive with another courier rather than Fedex.

Also, it is being sent by UKMAIL (the S**t company....) they sometimes don't even leave a card. and if you call them and give them the right tracking number they will tell you that our cards were printed wrongly so we could not leave card!

Please Update your post so we know what has happend?

THAT SHOWER

There's loads of thread on them. I made the mistake of ordering from them before. Got my stuff eventually, but it took weeks and caused me a lot of grief

no progress on the tracking number I was promised that would be working tonight. Still nothing on the Fedex site.

I'm beinning to get seriously hacked off, probably because of the trail on the YBW forum!!!!

I bought a wetline 260 tender off them a couple of weeks ago. The site said they had it in stock. So I placed the order online then phoned them a couple of day later to get them to confirm that it was in stock. They never answer the phone or reply to voicemail or emails. You have to use a system called live chat which does work most if the time. I finally got to chat with James after waiting for 55 minutes he then said it was available. Available where? was my reply. " china or your warehouse? No response from James. he wouldn't give me a fedex tracking number and I it finally came after waited two weeks.

I believe that they hold minimal stock and don't care about customers. I will avoid them in the future. My advised is you might as well buy off a eBay seller with 50% feedback. Sorry to be negative but these guys drove me crazy

i'm finding that a lot of places have cut back on the stock they hold, the places where i've been going for years just don't hold stock, ebay's pretty good or if you have to buy from a shop like that make it perfectly clear that you will only buy if it is in the shop's stock

I ordered a yacht winch from them and a gas detector, both arrived fine
A year later another winch and detector arrived ?????
Only got charged for the first ones.
A computer glitch I suppose, but if they duplicated all that days/weeks/months orders a year later and sent them out FOC its a wonder that they're still around!

I don't think they stock anything - YBW forum is full of unsatisfied customers!

I often use Marine Superstore at Port Solent for general chandlery etc, they have live stock availability on their website and they consistently get stuff out in no time. I've had stuff delivered next day which is almost unheard of for the Channel Islands.

Marine Magestore

Brutal customer service
Live chat - terrible and can hardly every get through

But quickly refunded money to my account when I got fed up and had them cancel the order.

Would not use again unless I did not need what I ordered for 6 weeks
