Nadia, my dear, I'm all for deviations but we could be in danger of losing the thread here...

Talking of which, did you get a call from Tim Wilks at Ribtec? I was chatting to him on the phone about carpets in RIBs (as one does) and the subject inevitably turned to our man in the North Pacific. He knew nothing of RIBnet and, hence, nothing of this crusade.

I (eventually) got him to go on-line and talked him down onto this thread. I'm pretty certain I then closed him for a hundred quid but I would like to know that you've got it before I go back and shame him into sending the loot.

Name and Shame. An interesting fund-raising deviation, I'll be bound...

Mystery Solved

What REALLY happened to the fourth crew member?

The Big Fella ate him. Clue - look at that tomato sauce!

That's not what I heard Hart. Apparently the others got sick of him after only a few days and threw him overboard!!

Yup Mike, Tim did call and contribute.

(I do not think it is fair to say how much people have contributed, as this puts pressure on people and some can donate more than others...)

Now we had a prize draw today, as you know we do this for every 1,000 miles sold and then the winner gets a trip out on the boat.

Some of you who donated to this fund were in this draw, some of you are in the next one - depending on when you donated and where we were at the 1,000 mile mark.

I can happily say that a regular contributor won the draw...but I will only tell you who it is when we reach the £5,000.00 mark.
(is that a good idea or is that blackmail?)
