Advice sought re flowcoat or Interdeck paint

I have stripped back some of the gelcoat on my deck to permit fiberglassing. My query is do I need to flowcoat or can I cover the fresh fiberglass with interdeck or other similar paint?

Cheers
DJ

Flowcoat would be harder wearing and more durable, though obviously it is also harder to get a good finish. Paint would be easier to sand down if you mess it up on the first attempt too!
