He also seems to think the RNLI are there for when people do risky things as a safety blanket. Which they are not, if you think something is going to be risky then dont do it in my opinion.

And he is aware of the sea dangers round parts of the dorset coast as he states in some posts so why event think about this trip which sparked all this off.

If you want a laugh do a search on google for the following; and use the "quote" marks.

“simcal” kayak
“simcal” Bournemouth
“simcal”

Im bored with this thread now, maybe he is a fine chap, maybe we are being too harsh. He aint my bag of tea thats for certain going on the posts.

LOL

Simcal is even registered with the Guardian. Genuinely surprised with that. Thought he was more a Daily Mail man myself.

Some interesting reading... scroll through comments.

Could be two different people of course!

I did have something to raise a smile I was just about to post, and then saw this so will not do so (scroll down) as seems to fit....

Clinical depression - NHS Choices

Of course may not be the same person, or it may just be more attention seeking.... Either way a troubled person I feel so I'll leave it there.

Hopefully he'll reflect that a different approach may help him get a more supportive response from others.

The age isn't right, but hey, we're all 21

There are billions of us on the planet. We have to rub shoulders a bit and we need to learn how to be nice to each other. RIBnet works because most members have a bit of manners, even the ones from Yorkshire. So far as I can see, every six months or so, someone wanders in here thinking they can "vent" and abuse the hospitality...

Nothing could be further from the truth

Hey - I'm from Yorkshire.

And as they say:

You can always tell a Yorkshireman,
But you can never tell him much

PS that's a badge of honour where I come from

Holy crap. I've just read through this thread and have very mixed emotions. Is he taking the proverbial? Trolling? Are we being harsh as he is has issues that when put in this medium, instigate over responses? I just don't know..... What I do know is the trip was a disaster waiting to happen, yet despite any view on his comments, members comments or his perception of then, he is now getting it delivered. Good result.
I'd possibly argue though that the mods sometimes need to be careful of the sarcasm they post when it was plainly clear a few replies in, prior to the quoted post that there was something a miss...
