Accommodation Helford River

Thinking of trying to get a trip down to Helford River area in for a mid week break 17th-19th November.

Could anyone recommend some self catering accomodation with access to a slip or a nearby slip for Sibbing.

Looking for something with 2/3 bedrooms to sleep 2 adults, 2 yr old and a new baby (need the peace and quiet!)

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Any of these. http://www.cornishholidaycottages.net/search.php Select 'Helford River' and look at the properties in Durgan.

Durgan is perfect, it's NT owned, has a slip and is stunning. It's my nearest slip, but not really big enough for a 7m rib.

After a couple of iffy years weatherwise in Scotland over the last two summers the family are urging me to try Cornwall. Helford river is the name that comes to mind for me too... not that I've been down that way for over 30yrs as kid.

Port Navas is somewhere I've seen some nice waterfront holiday lets. Expensive in the summer though!

Be interested to hear what it's like for smallcraft boating (4m planing grp plus 3.2m sib)... seems to dry a out lot if I remember right??

try here http://www.goongillings.co.uk/

great accomodation, you can even leave your sib on the shore of the river for the week.

We went for the week a few years back.

Lurcher obviously enjoys the Lizard side of the river, it is beautiful. It is also rather remote. Helston, the nearest decent size town is 10m away. Our side, Mawnan Smith/Falmouth is just as pretty, but 10 mins from Falmouth and all that the area has to offer.
