A RIB,drone and a shark!

Last week I was determined to find some wildlife while out on the water. I left Cork harbour with a full tank of fuel and every bit of camera equipment I had. After about 30min of searching I saw a large flock of gannets diving. Conditions were very choppy and not ideal. Despite this I noticed something about .5mile away and drove over to investigate. To my delight I came across my first basking shark of the season. The shark was close to 30 ft and was feeding. What an amazing sight! I got some photos, however knowing the was due to improve the next day, I packed up & headed back to Crosshaven.
My wife and I headed out bright and early the next morning. The conditions were perfect...flat calm and beautifully sunny. We headed 3 nm south of Roches Point and hoped we would stumble across a few more Basking Shark. To my delight (and my wife's terror) we came across a 7 mtr shark. Ceasing the opportunity, I launched my drone with go pro hero 3+ black edition & captured these amazing creatures on film. To my amazement, the video has stirred up quite a bit of interest! I thought I'd share it here so you could all enjoy some footage of these incredible shark.
ps..they are even bigger when you are in the water with them!

Over the 5 days we where on the water watching them we spotted +30 sharks!

Superb video. I love the way you've been able to capture the sense of scale with the rib in shot. Brilliant.

That was amazing, really envious. Great to see the sharks approach your rib and the size comparison, what length is your rib? Thanks for sharing your up close and personal encounter with Basking Sharks.
