Plymouth is so close to Cornwall its not worth worrying about!

Have you noticed that you have to pay to get back into Devon aka civilization on the Tamar Bridge?

Anyway Plymouth aint in Devon either!

Back on topic..., Did some more rearch on the net about this and for marine search and rescue, blaze orange is by far the most highly visible colour for apparel, streamer signals etc...

Visibility is an issue but if youre in the surf or a bit of a swell your life jacket is the bright bit and if you want to be seen dont you think it would be worth strobing up and having some solas tape design on your clothing.

Its also worth bearing in mind that once fabric gets wet it loses many o fits reflective properties and most light aint relfected. I have seen people dress up in high vis one-piece romper suits and as soon as the hit the drink you cant see them for toffee.

best plan?

dont fall in! HANG ON!

right, ill prob fall in now! only third time mind!

Those High Vis romper suits look =a bit OTT. Since when did you need reflective legs?

I suppose they must keep some more heat in but If it was that cold I'd go for a set of Mustos everyday. The hood on a Musto is yellow reflective so you get the visability regardess of the rest of the jacket colour. Plus I think mines got some scotchlite on mine.

I reckon theres a colour for most occassions. Black for calm, Yellow night, orange for breaking waves.

That said Yellow or Orange do seem to be good all rounders and a bit of scotchlite goes a long way too.

If the weather is good enough for sunglasses is it also bad enough to be wearing a helmet?

Not usually but there are some days when it is! Anyway, I'm a softie and like to protect my delicate ( ) skin from the nasty salty air! (Although helmet hair is not attractive!)
