A! It's a Frame Up !!!!

Hi,

Having recently purchased a rib (Quicksilver 450R) that has no A frame or Nav lights.

Whats the cheapest option...seperate nav lights (are they available ?) or
having an a frame fitted with nav lights etc

If so any good a frame fitters in the Midlands area that could help out ?

Regards

I dont think you can use the words A frame and cheapest in the same sentence!!!

On my old humber 4.2m i used to have a pole lashed to the back of the seat with the nav lights and vhf antenna on - it was meant to be temporary while I got an a-frame made up at first but i got used to it and it became permanent so i saved the money i was going to spend on the a frame (£350 for a simple single hoop from humber) and used it for fuel.

This was the nav light unit i had on top of the ploe (but mine was black)

Check these Lalizas pole lights:

I bought one and stuck it on my console. You can get fixed, telescopic or unpluggable. All from Quay West.

Is that a general question or are you asking Bootneck why he needs lights personally.

If it was a general question then read this thread http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13368

Nice shot of Trelissick Pool Roy,What's all that stuff hanging over the side? I hope that you've upgraded from a bit of string and a length of polyprop on Voyager.

I have 8mm Polyester 3 strand on Voyager as a warp.

But I did indeed have some of that nasty blue polyprop on my old boat.

no - it was in jest at the lack of lights often used in bootnecks previous occupation. of course they are essential...
