sonar i have seen a grp skoda body shell built for a race car by making a mould using plaster over a new car and that worked very well especially with a big V8 under the bonnet and any decent tube maker will be able to make the tubes to fit your hull/hard nose

Who's doing the tubes.
Looks like you've made good progress. Is that the speed boat hull?

Hi yes it was and its all been chopped down now and wet and dry sanded.
just about to start the g7 polish bit.

loads more to do to it before it's ready to start.
I have cut the transom down so as it will take an extra long shaft engine.
hence it will not be as low to the water..

I will be making postings when i get to start it.

a company in Preston.
www.sitltd.co.uk Mr C.Chadwick
he has been more than helpful .

Great advise from him and from Eastcoast glass fiber and of course the members of Ribnet.

Advise from all has prompted me to have a go at my home made rib.
While using what I have to hand to reduce the cost of a one off 6 plus mtr rib.

All seem like good reasons. Apart from the manufacture of the nose cone is there any downside to it?
