I rang RBB about the grey paint but they told me they don't do it anymore that's why I'm looking for advice on where I might get it. As regards how it happened, I think the previous owner tied it up and the tide went out, as the a-frame is bent at the cleat on it, the crack didn't appear until the frame got a good shaking on a rough day out

A-Frame pulled out of deck on Redbay

I am not aware of hanging this or any boat off a harbour wall.

Here we go as far as I can remember these supply RB http://www.glassfibre.ie
Give them a call if it is B T Grey you will have to buy at least 90 worth of the powder as it is a special order I know this as I rang them my self sometime ago ( I didn't get any )
IMO get a proper repair done on it and get a paint made up to spray the FG repair it's pretty much out of sight down there

Knowing the history of the boat, what in your opinion could've caused the failure?

That being as it may - I've seen the cleat on this A-frame. It is wrenched outwards and there is a kink in the frame. Someone has been a naughty boy and won't 'fess, might not be you!

Allowing that the entire A-frame has been pulled sideways to achieve what I saw, I think that the concerns about the attachment of the frame to the hull can be set aside while we try to find a solution for the flo-coat.

Last time I needed a splash of grey flocoat, Tom bunged me a liter in a lemonade bottle. Granted, I hadn't blaggarded the brandname on the internet...
