why not go for red/green lights on the console and a white light on the back of the outboard http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...llpartial/30/0
or a more permanant fitting. as for the flag pole no ideas yet

I have to fly a red ensign 24/7 because the boat will be kept in france. Thanks to I think m Chappelow I am looking most closly at having a flagpole and haveing a telescopic pole with nav light that stays in the console but clips onto the skipole when I need it. I will post a diagram when I finish it.

i might be wrong but in certain countrys the flag has to be taken down at sunset and put up at sunrise for a visiting boat and that it has to be dipped briefly if passing a naval ship of the country that you are visiting ,,you would think that with all this e.u common market crap that the eu flag would be ok or not having to fly one in the first place .
