Unfortunately no AIS signal is being received so it is not possible to track the passage. According to their Facebook page they have just passed Bardsey Island

15 June Day 4 Port Erin Isle of Man to Oban

Day 4 was a long day for the Team. The crossing from Port Erin to Stranraer was very rough only averaging about 14 knots. They had to refuel for the last 25 miles or so at Crinan where their support team met them with diesel.

About 12 hours on the water.

I was watching them on AIS turn towards Crinan and was wondering why. Now all is clear

today's leg is from Oban to Lochinver

there is a very good video clip on their facebook page , worth watching

About 1 hour ago the Team arrived to Lochinver. The passage from Oban took 7 hours

The AIS was out of range for the latter part of the passage so tracking was impossible.

I have no info whether they passed or saw Hafren.

The Team is now half way through the Challenge. The Parker 750 Baltic is performing very well. Hopefully tomorrow will be like the last 5 days. It will be an exciting passage for them and a great experience. I know that first hand

I have attached today's passage marked by AIS but the latter part of the route was not received so I have manually marked it in red.

Here are a few shots taken yesterday. so far the 999 Challenge is going very well and the weather has been on their side. This morning they pass Cape Wrath.
