6.3m Humber Ocean Pro on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...483862301&rd=1

What do you think? The hull does look very faded for a year-old boat. Is there anything you can do about that short of a re-tube?

What would the performance be like with the fitted 115hp motor?

Your right tubes do look awful for an Apr 04 hull, so is there something your not being told. Like the tubes came off another boat and its only the GRP hull that was new in Apr 04 ? they claim 3 years warranty left on the tubes but I thought Humber offered a 5 year warranty ?

Trailer looks like it might by an American one, with all the problems of tow hitch sizes etc.

Yamaha looks a sensible size for the hull, but were are the instruments for the engine ?

Pete

...note to self.. **remember to keep my nice yellow tubed Humber away from that nasty sun**

and budget for a decent, braked, trailer as well if you do bid...

I have a Humber 6.3, new in August 2002. It has navy blue tubes which are probably as worse a colour as any for fading. It too has been out in quite a lot of sun. My tubes havn't faded yet!

Be very wary. Looks odd to me!

Humber stopped using those style handles and "H" logos more than 3 years ago.
Reckon it's a new hull and 2nd hand tubes.

Sounds like it would be worth £10k+++ easily but only if it's genuine from an ownership and history point of view (ie - was it smashed up and re-assembled? or stolen recovered?)

If it were only faded tubes then no problem (unless you're just buying a RIB to look at!) but there's a story there perhaps...

Not interested in this one then? I emailed the seller with the questions raised ('cos I'm nosey!)...

Hi jarvo144, Just got a few questions about your RIB... 1. Why are the engine instruments and the steering ram missing? 2. How old are... a) the hull b) the tubes c) the engine 3. How long have you owned the RIB? 4. And why are you selling it? 5. Where did you buy it from? Cheers, Richard.

...and got the following reply:

Answers to questions:
1. Engine instruments are on the centre console. And it doesn't have a steering ram because it is not hydraulic steering.
2. a) 2004 b) 2004 c) 2000
3. Since April this year
4. It is too cold for the family with it been an open deck.
5. Hull was purchased from Humber Inflatables and the engine was bought from a boat dealer from Southampton.

Thanks Jarvo

Graham - looks like it's the boat you thought it was. 20 hours left... bargain for £9,995

Retube

Hi Jlanng

We could re-tube this boat for £2200.

Thanks - that seems a fair price.

It starts to become less of a bargain when you add £2200 for the retube and £1500? for a legal trailer.

Why would you need to re-tube it? Just because it's faded?

Yes, because I think it would be difficult to sell-on with tubes faded like that.
