6.3 ocean pro with 175hp optimax, anti foul hull. Two up, c. 100L fuel. 53 mph max. Usually just judges past 50mph as you trim right out. V twitchy at that point.

SR5.4 Navy spec, 1994 85hp Yam origin premix 2 stroke, 19" pitch Michigan Wheel Match, 50-75l of fuel aboard, one fatb*****d 38 knots flat calm, but usual top speed is 33-35kts if there's any waves at all.

I'd recommend you selling the 70, putting a Yam 90 and a 19" ally prop on.

Tried going down the SS route with a Michigan Wheel, it's just not worth it on a Searider for the price and how often you get into shallow water. I like my gearbox too much.

Ribtec 655 with verado 200, getting about 43kts trimmed up..Has a house brick console and screen that slows me down.

It used to have an opti 175 and no screen and we maxed that at 50kts on a flat calm day.

Humber 7 ocean pro, 100lt 2 people with 1.7 diesel Merc 120hp 31knts

Same boat 200lt fuel 2 people 2.5 ford tdi supposed to be 130hp but we estimated it was only making 90hp (believed to still be a van spec engine that had been marinised). Very slow to plane and made 29knts before it dropped a valve lol

Unknown make of rib 5.3m mariner 60hp 4 stroke. 30l fuel. One pilot. 32.5knts which I thought very good for only 60hp

Look forward to amny answers. Please, no bragging, I am genuine interested in the true real world answers.
