Quite right.

I never used to be a fan, but the Witch has been on a few RIB's with rear bench seats and she is a full on convert now. So much so I have a feeling the next boat will be having them!

Bench Seat

Redbay have it right. They fit a lift-out bench. I kept mine in for cruising, out for diving and fishing.

Doesn't a gang have more than two members?

Plus, you said he wouldn't fit in a shadow drysuit I believe

Will the boat be ready for August then Mr Kerny?

I work in Liverpool, give me the address of the build and I'll go and take some photos if you want me to?

More reasons why TBH. Unless you need to seat everyone on jockeys in rough weather, having a jockey bench combo gives the best of both worlds.

Jockeys for rougher weather for skipper and a passenger then the benefits of the bench also. It's much more comfortable when stopped for having a cuppa/beer/sandwich. Much more useable for taking kids/ladies out when calm and just pottering along, taking in the view and subathing. More storage space. Need i go on?

Horses for courses but surely a combo is best for more courses?

And since the space just in front of the transom usually has stuff stored there anyway, they do not take up much free deck.

5 of us went out on a 6m boat the other day, three on benches and one on the suicide seat. It was all sub 20kn pottering or drifting and I cannot imagine it being a more comfortable arrangement for the size of boat.

Ian is a nice bloke to deal with and if you ask to speak to him on the phone and he is not available, he always gets back to you. Looking forward to the pics and thanks.
