Or they realised it was under-priced and we'll see it re-listed at a higher figure in a few weeks....

The 4.7 is obviously held in very high regard here which obviously opens it up to lots of potential buyers but is this view held on a larger scale too?
To a non-Ribnet owner would it not just be a 4.7?

Any RIB that size would be a bargain at £700. The motor alone would be worth that much.

i wonder if they had to advertise it outside the club before a clubber could buy it, they would of put a low price on it so the clubber didn't pay over the odds when, wait for it, no one wanted it

It wasn't a scam but a legitimate sale.

I am not normally the lucky one but for once my luck changed and I was able to buy this boat.

It is not in to bad condition. Tubes are fairly tidy and hold air. Hull requires a bit of gel coat repair in a few places.
Engine is a 60hp Mariner four stroke, condition is not good and I am not sure if it is a runner.
The boat has lived all it's life on a reservoir and has a fair bit of limescale on the hull caused by the hard water, I am hoping this will be simple to remove.

The aim is to give the boat some TLC and tidy it all up. Then if I can find one, put a decent 70hp Yamaha or Tohatsu 2 stroke on the back. I will then keep the boat.

Andy

Good work AC ! Pleased its gone to someone who sounds like they will give it some TLC.

Now tell us you at least tried to chip the price down .......?

Paid the full asking price £700.

I think the staff in the sailing school office spent all morning fielding the enquiries regarding the boat.
I realised there was a stack of people lining up behind me so I grabbed it whilst I had the chance.

Well done that man!

If you need a motor I'm your man. Got a couple merc 75hp 2 strokes in at the moment and a steady stream coming in/out all the time.

I'd take the 60 4 st off your hands too for close to what you paid for the entire rig. PM if interested

Enjoy
