34 mile return passage in 3.4 rib
Not sure if this was wise or not but went out in my little 3.4 m rib today launching at the River Deben. It was so nice I poked my nose over the bar and radioed a friend in his 31 foot yacht and followed him on a 34 mile round trip off shore to the ore. Conditions were flat calm on the way across but roughed up on the way back. Good thing was I only used 6 litres of petrol on the whole trip on the little 15 hp 4 stroke

Well done there is nothing like a longish trip in a small rib
But your rib makes mine look big

Quite envious... we were due to be out just south of you yesterday (Brightlingsea) but after fuelling car & OB tank the night before family matters intruded and that was that.
Looks perfect sea conditions.

Pfft! I've encountered a real Little Floater on occasion when SCUBA training in the local pool. The sea is full of crap - I got over it.
I think it's an excellent name for a "wee" RIB!
