Seems like kind of a big boat to tow behind a smallish car. Don't know if I'd be comfortable with that set up.

No problem if it's balanced right. That car prob has a 1800 kg capacity and a 6.5 Osprey weighs in at 1600. I towed my engineless new Vipermax from Wolverhampton to Weymouth with my A3 quite happily.

Allroad would pull that along nicely, probably a 2.5 V6 TDI with 4wd. 2100kg max though would probably only be rated to tow a third of that across the pond.

I was looking at a patriot recently, Rated to 1500kgs in Europe and 1000lb (450kg) in the US.

It's on a single axle so it won't be that bad.

If his limit is 1800, I'd guess he's over the limit. The trailer itself, engine,Twin batteries, possibly full tanks, gear, anchor, chain, oil, etc etc it all adds up!

It'll pull it, just wouldn't be legal.
