i'll always give someone a fair shake as anyone who knows me will tell you, it seems the matey who posted above you still has a gripe with you though, ebay i think is crap, go and look at something, like it, pay for it, take it, all this bollocks with paypal and feed back just seems longwinded, but i'm old school, i'm as fair with people as i can be and in turn i expect the same, but if someone wants to turn me over, or take the piss thats the quickest way to upset me and got my nickname by not being nice, i can only hope that you guys are straight up and the other guy you upset is a one off

with regards to slaphead, we have recently had a problem with a transaction, but it has been blown out of all proportion.
Engine was purchased via buy it now on ebay on a friday. I then sent my phone number to buyer for him to phone me on monday am. I waited for a phonecall but did not recieve any calls, missed calls texts or voicemails. on wednesday i then contacted seller via ebay asking him what was happening, i recieved no response, i sent 2 further emails at approx 2 day intervals to find out what was happening. I finally got an email after about 10 days saying that he had been in the country to collect and had only just got my mail and had since sourced another engine. We then agreed to cancel the transaction so that i could recover my £75 ebay fees for engine. engine was then relisted on ebay and i was contacted by somone in north norfolk who purchased engine so i then removed(please note this was a 2002 model) A few days later i then listed an 03 one for sale on ebay which was purchased by a gent in north wales. I fitted this engine at 8.30 am this morning.
As for the unpleasentries these were regretful and for which i appologize, but at the time i felt were just due to the nature of the email i recieved.
however i dont think it was called for to contact my customer in wales after he purchased it and tell him that i was dan cooper and he had been ripped off and would not get his engine. It caused me problems and unduly worried my customer.
having said all of this i would like to draw a line under the matter and the disagrement with slaphead.
I hope this clarifys the matter
regards
Nic

I agree, we are not fans of ebay, we are old school too and would far rather make a deal face to face or on the phone.
regards
Nic

You sure? Where I come from, a biffer is a rather unattractive 'lady'. A 10-pinter and double-bagger at the same time...

I bought a Yam 60 some years ago from Windway and they bent over backwards to help when I collected the motor. I was quite happy with what I got and how they dealt with me. A workmate bought two Johnson 60's around the same time and AFAIK he had no problems either.
Hope all the hassle ends for you guys, I know the odd ebay sale/purchase does go wrong no matter how careful and honest you are.............................

I bought a 90 hp Yamaha from these guys, the service they provided was 1 st class they fitted it and guaranteed it for 6 months the engine has always performed faultlessly.I have reccomended their services to other people and they have all been very pleased with the service or products that they recieved. The guys do not deserve bad press they are a proffessional outfit i would not hesitate to use them again. My boat is a 5.4mtr searider and with this engine is fantastic.

yep...but, if there was a couple of guys that did a good job for me and then got grief for being crooks, i would back them up from my experience with them! maybe they did good work on browny's boat and he couldn't sit back and not say anything cos they were getting slagged off here.

either that or browny3194 is imaginery and your right to be cynical! (i hope not tho)

I could upload some pictures of my searider, i could also mention the hours of fun i have had on it in the sea in Dorset. But what would be the point ? as someone could then say
" oh yes but he could have got those pictures from anywhere ". All i know is that these guys did a sterling job for me and i am more than happy to defend them. But if you still want pictures then i will upload some if i can figure out how to do it. How do you get those little smiley faces on there ?

nseoutboardcentre

Having read the comments converning Dan Cooper following an e-mail from an e-bayer to look at this forum for my own protection,I'd just like to say that my experience of nseoutboardcentre was nothing but excellent. The delivery and purchase of the outboard and it's fitting was efficient and effective.
