Thanks for all the advice and help, if it wasnt for you guys id have put that 115 yammi on and probably would have been gutted lol... My boat is at Dulas (Anglesey) now and I hope to have it back soon... Once its fixed I will update progress on here 🚣

Hi mate, back again on here looking for help, can you send me the deets of the mechanic that's in Caernarfon, ive drawn another blank with my engine need help please.. DULAS FAILED TO PULL THROUGH, they said my rib not worth fixing and to sell it as it is!!! disappointed !!

Can't feel good, but if one can't find the problem and the other says it's not worth repairing and to sell as is, it's a fairly strong suggestion that you'll be wasting money taking it somewhere else.

Did they say the motor wasn't worth fixing or the boat wasn't worth fixing?

Im under the impression that its rather a case of cant find the problem so they are saying its not worth fixing to save themselves embarrassment of failing to diagnose the fault.
The engine has good compression and runs but is down on power.
The RIB its self is in fairly good nick.

No they never, but the mechanic before did, i think if i remember he said it was 150, 140, 150 ?? does that make sense? what are you thinking mate?

just looking to get another 90hp for my osprey, sold the suzuki that came with it as would prefer a merc, mariner or Yam. would like to get an optimax but dunno what the max weight is for the transom

Well, if it's down on power and comp is that good, it can't be too much wrong unless it's got some nasty internal corrosion issues. Why not swap powerheads with your spare motor?
