Rib Repair using Sure seal adhesive

Hi
Has anyone ever used Sure seal adhesive for rib repair without a patch?
I have a 4 metre Honda Honwave rib which I have caught on a tree branch causing a small puncture / rip to the PVC very close to the boat handle.

My problem being it is that close to the handle I don't think I will be able to use a patch on it.

I have seen Sure Seal advertised that states that in it's use you don't need to patch as this product seals and protects and produces it's own waterproof seal.

Has anyone used it? does it provide a long lasting repair? how does it perform under high pressure when you inflate the boat?

Any help would be good on this subject.

I wouldn't fancy your chances. Got a pic of the damage?

Yes I have got pictures but not very good at finding my way around this site in fact i could do with an idiots guide on how to use the site, open new questions and find my way around like uploading pictures.

It does say on the Sure seal xxx that it can be used on Ribs but I am in the same frame of mind as you.

Send a message via MSN to badbaws
I have used it on a small area and worked very well.. I think it depends on the patch required.
