prop size

Hi there all
looking to try and answer a wee issue with my sr 5.4m. I put a 60 efi bigfoot on her that came off a pontoon, prop solas 14x11 ss .Tested her the other day and was flying along nicely at around 5000 to 5500rpm and gave her a wee bit more . Heard the beeps so slowed down a bit ,tried again going full throttle and the beeps were there again, no beeps when under full throttle.i am thinking I need a new prop, any ideas on a good size prop for this setup.
Regards Mick

Prop sounds too fine for that set-up. Id have though 15" or 17" pitch. Might be someone here with the same outfit.

I think around 350rpm per 2 degrees, thats 700 rpm ,should be about right. Gonna go with a 15" solas. Appreciate the reply.

Yip. Just spoke with one of my mates who had a 5.4mtr Humber with a 60hp Big Foot Mariner (old carburated one) and he was using a 16" stainless. The boat done around 30kn with that.

RIBase
prop size

The bigfoot has a different ration LU compared a non bigfoot model, they can run bigger props.

I ran 17" props on my 5.8.

I may even have one if you want to try it.
