Greetings,
I'm a Fire-Rescue Captain serving as the special operations officer of an urban and semi rural volunteer fire department about 12 miles outside Washington DC. Our current special operations fleet consists of the following...
Boat-740... 17 Ft. D.I.B. Chesapeake with 80Hp Mercury Outboard Jet
Boat-740 Bravo... 10 Ft. Zodiac ERB-310 with 10Hp Mercury Outboard Prop
Boat-704... 15 Ft. Avon WP-460 with 40Hp Johnson Outboard Prop
Boat-704 Bravo... 10 Ft. Avon ERB-310 with 10Hp Mercury Outboard Prop
Airboat-704... 16 Ft. Alumitech Airboat with PCM-360 V-8 Engine
I spent my summers as a child at my grand parents on the eastern shore of Virginia who's property line ended in the Chesapeake Bay. My grandfather was an avid fisherman, and waterman. I guess this is where I get my love of boating and love of the water!

Welcome to RIBnet. We'll be needing lots of pictures of your fleet in action now!

I've always wanted to drive an airboat. We don't have many on the left coast.

Welcome to the forum.

Operating one of our ERB-310s in "The Flume" at the Dickerson, MD Power Plant. We were acting as a down stream safety boat for an SRT Class for Rescue-3 International. She operated quite well in the swift current, even with just the little 10Hp motor!!! We love these little ERBs We can carry them anywhere, and operate them in flood waters!
