Update

Just returned from Seaswift and they were very helpful, (me being so ignorant of ribs).

They said the bottom thingy was made in China and not Egypt.

I am having the hull anti-fouled but after their advice, the base of the rib is not being anti-fouled, as to have the bottom of the tube would be to de-value the rib !!

They supply a Garmin 451s GPS. I thought about upgrading but changed my mind as I will be keeping fairly local.

I did think that the power controls should be on the right hand side (sorry Starboard), away from the main passageway, but that was already fitted.

Not sure were to to fit the drinks cabinet and cut glass.

It's going to be a long wait till I have time to pick the rib up but I will have to
do some swatting up on how not to look a complete **** when I first launch.

Xpro 530

Launched (succesfully) last Sunday and chugged round estuary getting to know her. Had fun getting on the swinging mooring as it was tide against wind and choppy, and I had not bought a mooring strop

Next day after sorting strop I motored up to 2000 rpm, and then after 1hour 3000 rpm, but feels superb.

SWMBO decided that she could smell petrol. Checked the bilge and sure enough saw some fuel. After a quick phone call to Seaswift it was agreed to take to agent in Porthmadog for checking.

Robert Owen Marine were very helpful (even stayed open late to receive the rib). Next day, after checking, they thought it might have been a fuel line fixed at an angle so refixed. Also as I had filled fuel tank prior to launching it could also have been coming from the vent pipe !!

One decision I need to make is a solar panel for the battery. I thought I could get a 10w flexible solar panel and either glue or bolt onto the seat in front of the console so that when she was on the mooring I could remove the cushion and connect to the battery. Is this practical ?

I will not be able to use again for a least a week so when she is returned I will
continue with a steep learning curve and report back.
