Not West Yorkshire but not too far we've launched at Boroughbridge & you can go down to York or up to Rippon you need a day permit but it want dear about £10 ish & there are locks on the way too so need to be prepared to negotiate them or stay in the section around Boroughbridge
Speed limit in force but same on most rivers

I suppose you will have to register the boat with the local river authority provide insurance display numbers ect first seams a lot of faff and would end up being an expensive day out stuck to a 5 mph speed limit . the sea sounds more fun and you can catch your tea from it

Nothing funnier than a southerner trying to do a Yorkshire accent.😏 "nawt" is more East Mids, Tyke would be "nowt", "thou" should be "tha"😄 The irony is, the op is not speaking Tyke, more Eshtuary text with a Facebook accent😎

Personally I Find if you DRINK enough!...It doesn't matter WHAT accent or even LAGUAGE is used....(Universal Translator?)....
They/We ALL Sound the same!....and people get By!....indeed some really valuable in-depth deeply philosophical conversations can ensue......( Believe me I know.....if only I could learn the trick of how to remember them!!!!!
