Hi guys

We are Fred and Rachel,we recently bought a second hand 5.5m Humber with a mercury 90hp 2stroke engine ,it’s safe to say it’s not been the best purchase we’ve made with all the teething problems, however we are quickly learning that the rib community is full of amazing people willing to offer help ,support and very valuable advice,
Thank you 🤙

Welcome Fred and Rachel! It’s all worth it in the end! What Humber have you got? Presume the engine is an Optimax?

Had to have new trailer and tubes needed repairing ,engine has just been serviced
Took it to Menai at the weekend and discovered it takes on water so that put a stop to that ,the hull will be going for a refurbish, the engine runs sweet very fast but speeds not as important as we just love being on or in the water

It’s our first rib ,I’ve since located the hole in the hull appears to be just in front of the trunk ,previous owner must of had a bilge pump the took out and haven’t filled the holes, properly or not at all
It’s sorted now [emoji106]if you see us

RIBase
Be careful in a following sea, the Attaques are prone to stuffing due to the narrow beam.
