Hi

Hi all.
After having done our boating for the last 8/9 years in various sports cruisers and having recently moved down to the Sth coast, we've decided day boating & dry stacking is the way forward for us & so we're in the process of selling our current boat & have opted for a Brigg Nav 610. Any pointers/advice on this choice would be welcomed...thanks.
Although I've done a fair bit of RIB'ing over the years, we've never owned one so I've a feeling I may be picking the collective brains of this forum over the coming months.
Anyway, that's it in a nutshell aside from to say, hope you're all making the most of the weather.
If you're around & about on The Solent, I'll hopefully see you out there before the season's over.
Lisa

Lisa, welcome to RibNet and the world of ribbing. Are you by any chance at the Southampton Dry Stack as there are a few RibNet members there and we do cruise a lot in the Solent especially for lunch to Yarmouth .

Brig 650 nice piece of kit and will handle very well round the IOW

Hi Andre.
Not yet got the RIB (hopefully in the next few weeks) but will most likely stay at Swanwick & use the dry stack there altho' nothing's definite & we're just starting our search for possible alternatives which are close by.
Will look at the one you mention but hadn't heard of it. Where is it exactly?
Thanks for the welcome.

Lisa, I mention Southampton Dry Stack as you have in your profile Southampton .
see Southampton Dry Stack - Boat Storage, Launching, Marina, Solent, Southampton Water, UK

I have kept a rib there for over 9 years now and cannot fault them . Give them a call and just tell them on my recommendations

I do not know how other dry stacks operate but last Saturday I turned up a 5 AM called them and woke up Chris who then opened the gates for me. We got back late from Alderney so just left the rib on the water . The staff had already gone by that time . When I drove up to the gates the gates opened automatically and I could drive out.

SDS knew I was going to turn up early on Saturday but that facility is open to all their clients.
