Quite a few people including me have raised the transom to stop the water spraying up!

Yep tried that also on Sunday just lifted the engine up as far as it would go to see if it would reduce the wash against the transom.
It go that bad the water was forcing itself into the bilge drains past the rubber diaphragms and filling the boat with water.
Did not get too much splash over the transom though but even with the engine trimmed all the way in it was still creating a rooster tail.

But going to clamp the gopro camera to the transom and film what the engine is doing while going along at different trims and heights so as to try and tune it in.

Bit hard to look down there and stay in a straight line while booting along. Lol

Yeah it's a nice light indespension trailer with rollers and the previous owner made the wooden mount so you can transport the engine on there than putting too much stress on the transom while on the road.

Then probs about another 20 kegs with fuel, flares, small anchor, paddles,VHF etc etc.

So not massively overweight but I had the engine trimmed all the way into the transom this time.
Because before I had it on the third hole out on the trim and I was getting a large rooster tail and the prop was loosing traction and over revving the engine.

But may try hole 2 again as I tried this before and it felt very sketchy at full
throttle but may be just due to being first time I ever took it out.

Plenty of good people on here with alot more experience than me (as long as the trolls dont get you first) but start with engine height, cav plate level with bottom of transom, like you say a video of what is going on whilst at full tilt would be handy, but I do agree that at full tilt it is difficult to have a good look without the possibility of loosing control.

Cool that's my next stop in sib section with lots of questions.

I reckon I'm going to possibly go and get a steering setup though as today I'm in rag order my arms, shoulders, back(spine) are all aching massively not felt this bad since doing motocross.

Just could not find a good place to sit or kneel as the riding on the tubes feels to sketchy and sat on the floor you just slide around
