Hello from Southport :) UK

Afternoon chaps and thanks for having me on board

been looking for some ideas and each time i look it brings me here, so figured I best join

Been doing kayak fishing for about 10 years now and love every minute of it, currently have 3 kayaks for myself, my wife and my 11 year old son.

My son isn't a huge fan of the kayaking and fishing combined and he tends to get bored quite easily after he has snagged or tangled too many times, and I find I don't get much done chasing around after him lol.

So recently (A few days ago) I mentioned to a mate of mine that I might get a rib and outboard engine so I can take my son and make life a little easier for me and him, he instantly said he would swap his Rib and outboard for 1 of my kayaks, it's a new kayak with only a couple of hours on the water.

So here I am, now the owner of a walker bay genesis 270 with mariner 2 stroke 4 hp outboard engine....boat was grubby but looks like new now after several hours of cleaning.. mariner currently gone for a service

so I'm going to read the forums and looking at ways to anchor up and adding rod holders

cheers...Tony

Welcome Tony. Yep lots of info on here. And even if we don't know we'll venture an opinion!

That sounds like a really good swap.
