I am going out of Pwllheli this weekend to go to Tudwalls and have a look at the seals.

low water springs is the one to watch for when crossing the Bar, other than that you're OK as long as you stay in the channel, but definitely check the website as the channel does move with storms! As for the Swellies, no problem in a rib at any state of tide, there's always enough water
I like exploring between the bridges at low water, see where all those hard lumpy bits are, just make sure you've studied the various carts etc and a good depth gauge helps, but like I said, don't be afraid of venturing out of the marked channel, and just let the current take you through as long as you don't mind being spun around
