Hi there,

Decided to join the RIBForum as I have been restoring an inherited 1990's Osprey 5.2m Sparrowhawk hard hull RIB with 80hp Mercury outboard over last couple of years. So far have serviced the engine and run her up in a tub a few times but trying to diagnose annoying alarm buzzer (believe it might be either the oil float or alarm module). Have replaced the water impeller, prop, temp sensor as well as cleaned and checked the thermostat. Have also replaced front hypalon tapes to the f/g nose section as they were worn and split. Plenty spit and polish and just about to hit the water for a test (with some experienced friends of course).

Anyway looking forward to getting plenty of advice, hints and tips from experienced members.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the party

There are quite a lot of us from bonnie scotland about the forum so meeting up with others largely isn't as issue.

I assume you will do most of your boating on the east coast, I'm sure if you planned a trip some may bite nearer to you.

I don't know about the alarm, a dedicated thread would probably yield better results though.
