I am the U.K Distributor for Onwa Marine Electronics; although I can sell the whole product range I choose to specialise in their chart plotters. Onwa has bases in Hong Kong and the Philippines and they produce some really great products. They have manufactured mostly for the professional shipping and fishing industries in the past but recently their decision to expand into the leisure and small boat markets has given us all a chance to get our hands on really functional kit at a sensible price. I first come across Onwa in 2012 when, as an impoverished small yacht sailor, I bought a budget KP8299 plotter on the internet and I have been a devotee ever since!
A brief question, if I may:
do ONWA make a handheld, colour GPS with a 4" screen?
Garmin seem very reluctant to produce anything that meets my requirement at less than an exorbitant price.

Onwa don't manufacture a handheld GPS at the moment. I will let them know about your interest - it may be something for the future.
Smallest colour GPS/plotter they manufacture is 5.6" but it isn't hand held. Comes with a free chart for the whole of the U.K at £399.00. 18 month return to me (in Kent U.K) warranty.
