RIBase
There was a number of different shapes, sizes and builds that arrived in Portland pre Olympics if I remember correctly.

We used a few of them during the Academy racing series - great fun to be on board.

PS your rig looks FUN !!
The 8.5 like mine had two options - with a cabin or just a console and bimini. This console range has been discontinued (other than special order) but you can still get a cabin like mine - the hull base has been extended to 9m. The new range are superb - but above 10m you are drifting too far from the rib concept in my opinion. The 9m cabin with 2x 250 is a great boat and the interior is improved with linings to prevent condensation, improved heads facilities and portholes in the sides. The portholes makes the cabin lighter with better airflow if staying on board. All this is great - but to be honest I would not want to drift too far from the more rugged open concept. The new boats are hugely expensive and drifting towards a concept closer to Windy / Sunseeker.

Yup, that's the one, from your patch, by total coincidence I remember once bumping into the last owner in cowes and chatting about cabin ribs; then a few years on the boat turned up in Ramsgate!

I thought so, we've actually used that boat in Portland when I was doing the charter stuff for skandia

Here she is. Still coded.

Might be using her myself this year as Magellan our 9m RIBTec cabin is staying down your way for a bit.

I don't do much charter work but the odd thing comes along.
